Deans of Innovation:
Sources of Future Growth

What does innovation mean to you and your company? How quickly are you able to take a new idea from conception, to product, to market? How can the centers for invention and innovation at our local universities help you to succeed?

California needs a continuous stream of innovation to keep our current crop of companies growing. Innovations and innovative leaders will write the next success stories on the 101 Corridor. Imagine if the next Google or Apple or Amgen was founded not in California but in China – or Nevada!

On Wednesday, January 7, 2015 ACG 101 will gather a panel of Deans from local universities for a "Deans of Innovation" forecast on where innovation will come from between now and 2020, and how their universities will play a part.

Our speakers will be:

Dave Adornetto, Entrepreneurship Program Director, Technology Management Program, University of California Santa Barbara.

Gerhard Apfelthaler, Ph.D., Dean, California Lutheran University School of Management.

William P. Cordeiro, Ph.D., Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs, Director of MBA Program, California State University Channel Islands Martin V. Smith School of Business & Economics.

Kenneth Lord, Ph.D., Dean, David Nazarian College of Business and Economics, California State University Northridge.

John Mooney, Ph.D., Associate Dean, Associate Professor, Information Systems and Technology Management, Graziadio School of Business and Management, Pepperdine University.
