Ric Keller
Congressman Ric Keller, 43, was re-elected in November of 2006, to his fourth term in the U.S. House of Representatives. He represents the people of the 8th Congressional District, which covers the greater Orlando area and stretches from Celebration to Ocala. Congressman Keller has served as the chairman, and now ranking member, of the House higher education subcommittee. Congressman Keller also sits on the House Judiciary Committee, where he has been a leading advocate of the COPS (Community Oriented Policing Services) program to put more law enforcement officers on our streets.

Dr. Laffer was a member of President Ronald Reagan’s Economic Policy Advisory Board for both of his  terms (1981-1989). He was noted in Time magazine’sMarch 29, 1999, cover story, “The Century’s Greatest Minds” for inventing the “Laffer Curve,” a curve illustrating “tax elasticity” which asserts that in certain situations, a decrease in tax rates could result in an increase in tax revenues. Dr. Laffer’s economic acumen and influence in triggering a world-wide tax-cutting movement in the 1980’s have earned him the distinction in many publications as The Father of Supply-Side Economics.

 

Melissa Lee
Melissa Lee is CNBC’s Wall Street reporter, focusing on hedge funds, private equity and the capital markets. Her reports air throughout the business day. Lee is based at the network’s global headquarter in Englewood Cliffs, N.J.  Prior to joining CNBC in 2004, Lee has worked for Bloomberg Television and CNN Financial News. She was nominated for an Emmy, for her reporting on the proxy voting of mutual funds. Before her career in television, Lee was a consultant at Mercer Management Consulting. Her cases focused on the banking and credit card sectors. Lee graduated with honors from Harvard College with a Bachelor of Arts in Government. She also served as Assistant Managing Editor of the Harvard Crimson.
