ACG Selects Gary A. LaBranche
as President and Chief Executive Officer
CHICAGO, IL, July 23, 2008 –The Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), the premier professional organization focused on corporate growth, corporate development, and mergers and acquisitions, today announced the selection of Gary A. LaBranche as President and CEO, effective September 1, 2008.
LaBranche, a Certified Association Executive, has more than 25 years of professional experience in managing associations. Since 2003, he has served as the President and CEO of the Association Forum of Chicagoland. The Forum provides essential learning, powerful resources and compelling experiences for the 47,000 professionals employed by Chicago-area associations, whose activities contribute over $22 billion annually to the global economy and serve over 37 million members and 9 million donors.

Middle Market Merger Pros Believe M&A Volume May Have Reached Bottom
Say it’s a Buyer’s Market
ACG-Thomson Reuters Mid-Year 2008 DealMakers Survey Results
NEW YORK, July 22, 2008 – The latest twice yearly survey of middle market merger professionals by the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) and Thomson Reuters reveals frustration with the current M&A environment, but cautious optimism for the next six months.
According to the ACG-Thomson Reuters Mid-Year 2008 DealMakers Survey, the percent of middle market mergers and acquisitions professionals who say the current M&A environment is good or excellent has dropped precipitously to 43% from 93% 12 months ago. The figure was 72% in December 2007.
