Featuring: Mike Cote, VP, Dell SecureWorks
"The SecureWorks Journey Over 10 Years from Raising VC Money to Sale of the Company"
Under Mike’s leadership, the company was sold to Dell in an all cash transaction for approximately $650 million on February 8, 2011.
Mike Cote became Chairman and CEO of SecureWorks
in February of 2002 and led the company through an acquisition by Dell in February of 2011. Cote now heads Dell SecureWorks under the Dell brand and the internet security domain accross Dell. Under his leadership, the company has grown to become one of the leading security services firms. Prior to joining SecureWorks, Cote held executive positions with Talus Solutions, a pricing and revenue management software firm acquired by Manugistics in 2000. Cote joined Talus from MSI Solutions, a web application development and systems integration company where he was Chief Operating Officer. In addition to other technology executive roles, Cote's early career included international assignments with KPMG. Cote's leadership style is punctuated by open communication, high integrity, and a client-centric philosophy. He is a graduate of Boston College with a double major in computer science and accounting. Personally, Cote is actively involved in the Atlanta and technology community. He currently serves as a member of the Marist School Board of Trustees, the St. Joseph’s Hospital Mercy Board, Chairman of Strategic Planning Committee for 10-year plan for Archdiocese of Atlanta, and a member of Business Executives for National Security (BENS), among others.
