CONFERENCE AGENDA

Wednesday, June 1

ACG Capital Connection

1:00pm-4:00pm
Visit over 80 private equity firms from around the country as they exhibit, trade-show style, during the ACG Capital Connection.

Keynote Speaker

4:00pm-5:00pm

In a mature market, where does middle market private equity stand?  The higher transaction costs, increased overhead and greater risks that accompany large deals has led not only to frustration among investors and management teams, but has also hampered value creation, causing a negative role in today's society.  As the big players continue to gain notoriety, the small to medium sized firms are bringing the industry back to its roots and keeping "real private equity" alive and well. Join us to learn more from Joel Kurtzman on the extensive research he has done on the industry, how it affects the future of middle market private equity and the advantage it could have in the marketplace and even in Washington.

Joel Kurtzman is a member of the board of the Private Capital Research Institute, former editor-in-chief of Harvard Business Review, a former senior partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers, and a partner in Knowledge Universe, an education oriented PE fund.  He is the author of 24 books on business.  He is a senior fellow at Wharton's SEI Center for Advanced Studies in Management, and a senior fellow at the Milken Institute.
