Greg Nielsen, CEO & Founder of IPitimi

Greg Nielsen is a serial entrepreneur and has been the founder of several companies; all of them on the cutting edge of the internet and communications, three have been sold to other corporations around the world. Mr. Nielsen was recently awarded the winner of StartupBus Europe 2014 in Vienna, Austria at the world renowned Pioneers Festival. He was also named a finalist in the Austinite of the Year Austin 40 under 40 awards in 2012. He is a small business mentor and frequent speaker at RISE Global.

Greg Nielsen is currently the CEO and Founder of IPitimi (epitomē), an emerging leader in the IP Unified Communications, SaaS and Communications-as-a-Service (CaaS) industry. Mr. Nielsen was an early pioneer in the VoIP industry and designed one of the first all IP voice networks from the ground up becoming the backbone for some of the most well-known providers in the industry still today. He was the Founder and CEO of IP Telesis which is now Velocity Networks, with marquee clients like VoIP.com, Bandwidth.com, Dun and Bradstreet, Motorola, NBA, LA Fitness, In-N-Out Burgers, Krispy Kreme and numerous independent phone companies and ITSP’s and cable companies around the world.Additionally, Mr. Nielsen was a Founding Partner of XILEC Communications, a telecom consulting and engineering firm specializing in the Fortune 500 and Private 400 companies.

Mr. Nielsen’s prior entrepreneurial ventures including during the height of the dot com era when he was Founder of Gadgets.com in the 90’s, a global on-line company specializing in extraordinary and unique products for better living, with product distribution in France, Italy, The Netherlands, England, and North America. He later orchestrated the sale of Gadgets.com to Boysstuff in the U.K.
