Scott W. Tinker, Director, Bureau of Economic Geology & Chief Executive Officer at Tinker Energy Associates, LLC
Scott W. Tinker's passion is bringing academe, government, industry and NGOs together into what he calls the “radical middle” to address major societal issues in energy and the environment. Scott is director of the 250-person Bureau of Economic Geology, the State Geologist of Texas, and a professor holding the Allday Endowed Chair in the Jackson School of Geosciences at the University of Texas at Austin. Scott has been president of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, the Association of American State Geologists, the Gulf Coast Association of Geological Societies, and is the president elect of the American Geosciences Institute. Tinker, who has visited over 50 countries and given over 500 keynote and invited lectures to government, industry, academia and the public, is a Fellow of the Geological Society of America, an honorary member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, and is broadly awarded for his efforts to educate the public. Tinker serves on many private, public, academic, and government boards and councils and he co-produced and is featured in the award-winning energy documentary film, SWITCH.

*NOTE: This event will be held at Sullivan's Steakhouse @ 300 Colorado St. in downtown Austin. Valet parking will be available @ 6.

Cancellation Policy – Cancellations received in writing to acgcentraltexas@acg.org by 5pm, Aug. 9th will receive a full refund. There are no refunds for cancellations received after 5pm on Aug. 9th. If you are an ACG Member unable to attend, you can transfer your registration to another person for this same event. If the person attending in your place is not an ACG Member, they will need to pay an additional fee to bring them up to the non-member rate to attend.
