About ACG
Founded in 1954, the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) is the premier global association for professionals involved in corporate growth, corporate development, and mergers and acquisitions for mid to large companies.  Leaders in corporations, private equity, finance, and professional service firms focused on building value in their organizations belong to ACG.  They recognize the multiple benefits of networking within an influential community of executives growing public and private companies worldwide.  For 50 years, ACG members have focused on strategic activities that increase revenues, profits and, ultimately, stakeholder value.  Today ACG stands at more than 9,000 members representing Fortune 500, Fortune 1000, FTSE 100, and mid-market companies in 46 chapters in North America, Europe and soon Asia.

ACG Columbus (www.acg.org/columbus) is one of 56 chapters of the Association for Corporate Growth, Inc. (www.acg.org).  Founded in 1954, ACG is the premier global association for professionals involved in corporate growth, corporate development, and mergers and acquisitions and other capital transactions.  Today ACG stands at over 14,000 members from corporations, private equity investors, financial institutions and professional service firms representing middle market to Fortune 1000 companies in North America, Europe and Asia, as well as members representing private and governmental economic development agencies and business school leaders.  ACG members are leaders in their firms focused on building value in their organizations and their clients.  They recognize the multiple benefits of regular programming and networking events within an influential community of executives growing public and private companies in their communities and worldwide.
 
ACG Columbus was formed five years ago and now has over 150 members.   Our goal is simple – we want to promote the growth and development of Columbus area businesses for benefit of our communities and Ohio.  Our programming and networking events are designed to share best business practices; build worthwhile relationships that will generate quality growth opportunities; gain exposure to investment opportunities; promote the growth of Columbus area companies through organic growth as well as transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, distribution agreements, and the like.  We offer monthly breakfast or luncheons programs for members and guests with keynote speakers; periodic roundtables on subjects of current interest for C-level executives; access to ACG's annual InterGrowth conference each Winter where corporations, private equity firms, financial institutions and service providers meet to learn new ways to promote corporate growth, access capital and network; access to the Great Lakes Capital Connection to bring companies together with private equity firms each Fall, co-sponsored by ACG Columbus with ACG chapters in Cleveland, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Detroit and Pittsburgh; access to ACG's JobSource service matching company needs with professionals seeking new positions; access to ACG's online membership directory; access to capital resources on ACG's proprietary database CapitalLink; the bi-annual ACG/Thomson Dealmakers Survey; and a subscription to ACG's Mergers & Acquisitions Journal, an annual awards program recognizing a corporate leader for lifetime achievement as well as outstanding corporate value and service provider awardees. 
 
 
The Columbus ACG Chapter was recognized by ACG as an Outstanding Chapter of 2011 based on its programming, membership growth and retention, governance, and financial status.  Our goal is to continue to increase our membership and to bring meaningful programming and networking opportunities to our members which help promote the growth and development of Columbus area businesses.  We support the efforts of Columbus 2020, the Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce, TechColumbus and state and local development officials in promoting our economic development in our region.  Please consider joining ACG to help in these efforts and to grow your own business or firm.
