After the Champagne: Making Merger Integration work
Mergers always start with buoyant optimism about synergies and growth, but many of them fall short of their ambitions. Research suggests that mergers fail not because of poor strategy but because of flawed execution, especially when it comes to integrating two often very different organizations. Why are some merger integrations more successful than others? What can be learned from those that have worked - and those that have not? What strategies can help improve the odds of a successful integration?
Richard Mahony, an expert on risk communications, will explore these issues, drawing on his experience working with public and private companies to help them communicate effectively at critical moments to reach their goals.
