Business Lunch Event with Keynote speaker
Mr. Pavel Kohout,
Director for Strategy, Partners Financial Services

Held at the exclusive Zlatá Praha restaurant of the Intercontinental hotel, the fourth ACG CZ business lunch event was well-attended by over 50 M&A professionals from the Czech Republic and abroad.
The keynote speaker, Mr. Pavel Kohout (1967), attracted the audience with presentation of his views on the current banking and public crises and currency imbalance in Europe. The following debate also discussed prospects of the Eurozone.
Mr. Kohout is also an economic writer and member of NERV (National Economic Advisory Board).

ACG Czech Republic hosted round-table discussion on latest trends in technology and financial services


The team of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) Czech Republic and Bird & Bird hosted a "Technology and Financial Services: Latest Trends" round-table discussion on 2 December 2011.
 
The breakfast event, held in the Hotel Kempinski in Prague included a panel discussion led by Fabian Niemann and Christian Bartsch, German and UK partners of Bird & Bird, joined by Josef Langmayer, Head of Business Information Architecture, Raiffeisen Bank, Czech Republic. There was additionally a discussion session and networking opportunities.
 
The event was attended by ten CIOs from leading finance and IT companies such as Société Generale, Microsoft, IBM, Logica group, Citibank, Meloun Credit, CITFIN finance group and Global Payment Europe. All confirmed that the panel effectively demonstrated expertise within both the IT and finance markets.

Business Lunch Event with Keynote speaker
Mr. Petr Koblic,
General Director of the Prague Stock Exchange


The business lunch event was traditionally held at the Zlatá Praha restaurant, the Intercontinental Hotel Prague and hosted 35 M&A professionals. The keynote speaker of the event, Mr. Petr Koblic, presented his views on current role of capital markets in Central Europe and their future prospects.

Mr. Koblic was elected Chairman and CEO of the Prague Stock Exchange in September 2004. He is also Chairman of the Board of Central Securities Depository. In February 2007, he was named Chairman of the Power Exchange Central Europe. During his career Mr. Koblic was a member of the Board of the Czech Broker Dealer Association (AKAT) and he is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Czech Investor Compensation Fund, member of the Board of CMC, the Graduate School of Business and a member of the Board of Unicorn College. He holds a local broker’s license and received a Series 7 brokerage license in the United States.

Business Lunch Event with Keynote speaker
Mr. Radek Spicar,
Director of External Affairs at Skoda Auto/VW Group



The 2nd ACG business lunch event was held again at the Zlatá Praha restaurant, the Intercontinental Hotel Prague. The keynote speaker of the event, Mr. Radek Spicar, talked about the story of  successful acquisition of Skoda, a Czech car maker, by the German automotive giant Volkswagen,  which started right 20 years ago.
Radek Spicar is responsible for relations with public institutions at national and European level, structural funds and the Corporate Social Responsibility concept. Previously he served as Deputy to the Vice-Prime Minister for Economic Affairs of the Czech Republic. He also gives lectures at the Institute of Economic Studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University in Prague and at the Diplomatic Academy Prague.

Business Lunch Event with Keynote speaker

The business lunch event held at the Intercontinental Hotel Prague was the first of the planned series of debates for the business community in the Czech Republic. The event was well-attended by 35 directors, presidents and partners of leading companies from sectors of technology, finance, investment, law and advisory. The keynote speaker of the event, Mr. Jan Mühlfeit, Chairman of Microsoft Europe, presented his views on corporate growths aspects in a fast-changing global environment and shared with the participants his forecasts on development of corporate management in near future.
