"DEAL OR NO DEAL? THE ULTIMATE 2012 QUESTION"
Reports indicate that CEOs expect a significant rise in mergers and acquisitions for 2012. This anticipated increased activity will likely be fueled by "Baby Boomers" selling their businesses as a retirement strategy, corporations selling non-core business, and Private Equity firms selling portfolio companies as funds near sunset dates.
A panel of seasoned transaction executives will discuss their expectations for M&A and capital markets activity. Topics will include:
- Deal-making best practices and decision criteria
- The relative benefits of auction and private sale processes
- Whether it will be predominantly a buyer’s or seller’s market
- Resource allocation
- Planning and organic growth
