Sean Menke is Republic Airways’ Executive Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer (EVP & CMO) and brings more than 15 years of airline experience to Republic’s executive team. Menke’s responsibilities include all aspects of strategy, planning, sales, marketing, distribution and customer experience for both the Frontier and Midwest branded businesses.
Menke comes to Republic Airways through its acquisition of Frontier Airlines Holdings, where he was most recently President and CEO. Prior to that, he was Executive Vice President, Commercial Strategy, at Air Canada from June 2005, where he was responsible for all commercial aspects of the airline’s worldwide operations, including marketing, sales, scheduling, brand, research and product development, international affairs, alliances and Jetz, the carrier’s specialty charter service.
Before his tenure as President and CEO of Frontier and his time at Air Canada, Menke served as Frontier’s Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer. In this role, he oversaw a number of critical areas of the company and his accomplishments include the development and launch in 2003 of the Company’s award-winning "A Whole Different Animal" branding campaign, which has become a hallmark of Frontier’s marketing efforts.
Prior to his first stint with Frontier, Menke gained extensive aviation experience serving in key leadership positions at United Airlines and Western Pacific Airlines. His experience also includes several positions with America West Airlines.
Menke holds an Executive MBA from the University of Denver, Daniels College of Business and dual bachelor’s degrees in economics and aviation management from Ohio State University.
He and his wife, Arminda, and their three sons, Connor, Ryan and Everett, reside in Denver.
