Bill Campbell, Founder, W.Y. Campbell & Company
William Y. Campbell has been a Managing Director of W.Y. Campbell & Company since its inception in 1988. Prior to forming W.Y. Campbell & Company, he served for six years with First of Michigan Corporation as a Senior Vice President and Co-manager of investment banking. From 1982 to 1983, Mr. Campbell was an officer with Standard Federal Bank in Troy, Michigan involved in the implementation and development of their commercial lending activities. Prior to 1982, he was with Michigan National Corporation in various capacities including the management of credit administration, a lending officer for national and metropolitan accounts, and ultimately as a group head in a special lending section. He is currently the Chairman of Peninsula Capital Partners L.L.C. and a Managing Director of Huron Capital Partners L.L.C. Mr. Campbell received his B.A. from Albion College and his M.B.A. from Bowling Green State University. He is a registered Financial Principal.

John Fiore, Executive Director J.P. Morgan Securities Inc.
John Fiore is an Executive Director in the Syndicated & Leveraged Finance group. Based in Chicago, he is responsible for syndicated loan and high yield bond origination for Midwest-baesd clients (primarily Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota). He joined JPMorgan in 1995 and has spent over eleven years in Syndicated & Leveraged Finance.

Through his career, John has covered clients that span a broad range of industries including Consumer Products/Retail, Manufacturing, Diversified Industrial, Transportation and Healthcare. He received his B.A. from the University of Notre Dame in History and Classical Literature, an M.Litt from the University of St. Andrews in Ancient History and an MBA from the Univeristy of Chicago Booth School of Business in Finance and Accounting.

Description of Panel – Finding opportunities in a distressed market. The art of taking a troubled situation and making lemonade out of a lemon. A panel of two investors and an attorney analyze the current market place potential.

Gerald C. Timmis III, Senior Managing Director, ValStone Partners, LLC
Gerald C. Timmis III is Senior Managing Director and one of the founders of ValStone Partners, a private equity investment firm investing in debt obligations, real estate, undervalued operating companies, and other assets. Mr. Timmis is also Managing Director of GC Timmis & Company, a broker-dealer member of the NASD (now FINRA) from 1993 to 2005. Prior to forming GC Timmis & Company in 1993, Mr. Timmis spent two years with W.Y. Campbell and Company as a Managing Director. Before that, Mr. Timmis spent six years at Goldman Sachs & Co. in New York City, most recently as a Vice President, where he was responsible for numerous transactions involving direct principal investment, exclusive buy-side merger advisory, exclusive sell-side merger advisory, raid defense and public offerings. Mr. Timmis was a founding member of GS Capital, which was responsible for making direct investments on behalf of Goldman Sachs. Mr. Timmis also has significant experience in corporate financial restructuring, cross-border transactions and capital raising.

Mr. Timmis received his AB in Economics from The University of Michigan and his MS in Industrial Administration from the Graduate School of Industrial Administration (now the Tepper School of Business) at Carnegie Mellon University, where he was a William L. Mellon Scholar. He has authored research papers in finance and economics, been published in a refereed academic journal and presented at professional meetings, including meetings of the American Economic Association.

Kevin Prokop is a founding Partner of Rockbridge Growth Equity, LLC.
He was formerly a Managing Director at Questor Partners Fund, a $1.1 billion private equity fund.

Prior to Questor, Kevin was an engagement manager with McKinsey & Co. He graduated with distinction from Georgetown University, where he was an elected president of his class for three years and was the first student appointed to the university’s Board of Governors. He has an MBA from the University of Chicago, where he graduated summa cum laude and first in his class with a perfect grade point average.

In 2006, Kevin received Buyouts magazine’s “Turnaround of the Year” award, which is presented annually to the private equity sponsor that engineered the year’s most dramatic turnaround.

He also sits on the Advisory Boards of the Michigan Cancer Research Foundation and New Detroit and is actively involved in Detroit Renaissance’s “Road to Renaissance” effort. In 2007, he was appointed by Michigan’s State Legislature to be Co-Chairman of the State of Michigan’s Commission on Governmental Efficiency, a private sector commission established to make recommendations to address the state’s fiscal health.

Steve Hilfinger, Partner, Foley & Lardner LLP
Steven H. Hilfinger is a partner with Foley & Lardner LLP, where he is co-chair of the firm's Automotive Industry Team and a member of the Transactional & Securities Practice. Mr. Hilfinger was a founding partner of the firm's Detroit office in 2000 and served as Detroit office managing partner from 2002 to 2006.

Mr. Hilfinger focuses his practice in corporate and securities law matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, venture capital transactions, debt and equity finance transactions, business formation and corporate governance, and general corporate and contract counseling.

Mr. Hilfinger obtained his B.B.A. degree (concentration in accounting) with high distinction from the University of Michigan in 1984, where he received Phi Beta Kappa honors. Following graduation, he was awarded the William A. Paton Award for achieving the highest score on the Michigan CPA examination. Mr. Hilfinger graduated magna cum laude with a J.D. degree from Northwestern University in 1987, where he was selected for the Order of the Coif and served as editor-in-chief of the Northwestern University Law Review in 1986-87.

Scott Eisenberg, Managing Partner, Amherst Partners, LLC
Mr. Eisenberg is a co-founder of Amherst and specializes in advising small to middle market companies on mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, financings, business valuations, turnarounds and other advisory services for companies in the manufacturing, service, technology, distribution and retail industries. In his career, Mr. Eisenberg has worked on over 50 investment banking transactions, and has advised over 100 companies in regards to their business plans, projections and other financial matters.Mr. Eisenberg is a CPA, earning his bachelors degree in accounting at the University of Illinois and his MBA in finance at Indiana University. He was included in Crain's Detroit Business list of "40 under 40."

Demian Kircher, Managing Director, Maranon

Demian has over nine years of experience in private equity. Prior to joining Maranon, Demian was at American Capital Strategies, Ltd. from October 2002 through July 2007 where he was a Principal, responsible for managing American Capital’s private equity sponsor coverage team in the Midwest. While at American Capital, Demian closed and managed 10 transactions aggregating $398 million of invested capital and served on the boards of directors of Fosbel Global Services S.A.; Hygenic Holdings Corp.; nSpired Natural Foods, Inc. and Weber Nickel Technologies, Ltd.

Demian is a Certified Public Accountant. He earned an M.B.A. from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University and a B.B.A. with distinction from the University of Michigan.

Philip C. Gilbert, President and Managing Director, P&M Corporate Finance, LLC
Mr. Gilbert is President, Managing Director, and Co-Founder of P&M Corporate Finance, an investment banking firm headquartered in Southfield, Michigan with offices in Chicago and Cleveland.

Phil has over 27 years of business and transaction experience advising clients with mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, private placements, and financings.

Prior to the formation of PMCF, Phil was a partner with Plante & Moran, PLLC. He earned a BBA in Finance and Economics from the University of Michigan. Phil has authored numerous articles and is a frequent speaker to business media and organizations on various investment banking topics.

Samual T. Stahl, Partner, Honigman
Mr. Stahl is a Partner in the firm's Detroit office and head of the Private Equity and Venture Capital Practice Group. He works with private equity groups, investors and other business clients in a wide range of matters throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe and the Far East, including corporate mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, financial transactions and other corporate activities.

David Reynolds, Vice President and CFO, Huron Capital Partners
David is responsible for sourcing, evaluating and analyzing investments made by the firm, and also serves as the Firm’s CFO. Prior to joining Huron, David gained significant operational experience while serving as CFO of Printegra Corporation, a former Huron portfolio company. In this role, David was responsible for all M&A, finance, accounting, credit, and risk management functions for Printegra. He helped lead Printegra through the Huron sponsored recapitalization, an aggressive growth period fueled by several acquisitions, and the subsequent sale of the company in February 2007. He holds a B.A. in Mathematics from Kenyon College as well as an M.B.A. and a Master of Professional Accountancy from Georgia State University.
