ASSOCIATION FOR CORPORATE GROWTH
DEVELOPS PRESENCE IN THE UNITED KINGDOM
ACG’s dedication to global growth continues
January 2012: CHICAGO—The Association for Corporate Growth® (ACG) today announced the formal establishment of ACG UK. Headquartered in London, England, ACG UK joins 7 existing chapters in Europe that last year saw membership nearly double.
ACG UK will hold an inaugural event on 2 February 2012 at The Portico Rooms at the Somerset House in London. The event will feature a panel of leading economists moderated by Chris Giles, economics editor for Financial Times. For a full list of the panel, more information on this inaugural event or to register to attend, please visit www.acg.org/uk or email ACG UK chapter executive, Helen Jacobi at acguk@acg.org.
"We’re very excited to bring ACG to the United Kingdom," said Mike Hinchliffe, director, Merrill DataSite, and ACG UK board co-chair. "This will help ACG’s 14,000 members around the world to network with their colleagues in the UK. In addition, through ACG’s online proprietary Member Center, members of ACG UK will be able to search, connect with and create business opportunities with our global membership."
"Global expansion continues to be a key strategic goal for ACG," said Andy Rice, chairman of the ACG Board of Directors and senior vice president of the Jordan Company. "London is the financial capital of Europe and ACG UK now makes it easier for all ACG members to do business in this exciting and vibrant market."
"As cross-border dealmaking continues to grow in importance, ACG will launch additional chapters in key markets," said Gary LaBranche, FASAE, CAE, president & CEO of ACG. "Other markets in development include Brazil and India. A commitment to Local Community, Global ReachSM, is one of four major goals of ACG’s strategic Plan."
