Mr. Porter has been the Executive Vice President, Eastern Division of KeyTronicEMS since the acquisition of CDR Manufacturing (Ayrshire Electronics) on September 9th, 2014.
After graduating from Indiana University with B.S. in Accounting in 1986, Mr. Porter joined the accounting firm of Deloitte, Haskins and Sells first in Dayton, Ohio, moving to its then newly established Louisville, Kentucky office in 1987. After earning his CPA certification while working on audits of the former holding company BATUS and its varied subsidiaries, Mr. Porter pursed an MBA at the University of Minnesota in 1989, graduating with an MBA in Finance in 1990. Mr. Porter then joined the 3M Corporation first in the controller's organization as a cost accountant, later moving to the Acquisition and Business Development Department that coordinated 3M's global mergers, acquisitions and corporate venture capital activities.
In late 1995, Mr. Porter joined an investor group led by Milo D. Bryant for the purpose of sourcing and investing in private equity opportunities whereupon, in early 1997, these two took the operational lead for an investor group in purchasing the common stock of CDR Manufacturing, Inc.
