Star-Spangled Sailabration

Hanging out in Baltimore after Deal Forum? Check out the Star-Spangled Sailabration from June 13 to 19!

Star-Spangled Sailabration, June 13-19, is an international parade of more than 40 tall ships and naval vessels. These ships sail into Baltimore for the national launch of the Bicentennial of the War of 1812 and the writing of the Star-Spangled Banner. Star-Spangled Sailabration will feature free tours of the ships, waterside festivities, an airshow featuring the Blue Angels, and the world-premiere of "Overture for 2012," composed by Philip Glass. What is the conference attire?
Attendees should dress in business casual for both conference days. Casual attire is allowed and encouraged for the cocktail reception at Oriole Park at Camden Yards.

Does my conference registration/ Deal Source exhibit booth include a ticket to the cocktail reception at Oriole Park at Camden Yards?
No, regular conference attendance does not include a ticket to the cocktail reception. You must reserve your ticket seperately. The event is limited to the first 225 who register. Deal Source booths also do NOT include a ticket to the cocktail reception. Private Equity Marketplace exhibitors DO receive two tickets to the cocktail reception.

"Politics is a good thing!" … is the slogan of Dr. Larry J. Sabato.

In July 2008, Dr. Sabato correctly projected that Barack Obama would win the Presidency in a near-landslide. He predicted a 364-174 margin in the Electoral College, just one vote away from the final tally of 365-173, and he also forecast President Obama’s exact 53% popular vote margin. In addition, Dr. Sabato accurately predicted 98% of Senate, House, and Governor winners in 2006, 2008, and 2010 -- by far the best showing in the business.

Dr. Sabato will now turn his "Crystal Ball" to the 2012 election and reflect on how the race has developed thus far and what is to come in the months and days leading up to November. Dr. Sabato will address the important issues, the key states, and the leading characters in the race for the White House and take a look at the future of the Senate and House in 2012 and beyond.

Towne Park’s Founder and CEO Jerry South believes in learning through living. He’s a self taught savvy businessman and entrepreneur. Jerry South formed Towne Park in July of 1988 in Annapolis, Maryland and has successfully built the company from one hotel account in Annapolis, Maryland to a national parking and hospitality services provider.

He courted and directed the key acquisitions of MediPark Valet Services out of Dallas and Mile Hi Valet Service of Denver to expand Towne Park’s hotel portfolio, as well as Avascend Healthcare Hospitality of Overland Park (KS) launching Towne Park into the healthcare vertical. In addition to acquiring competitors to expand the organization, South has played a lead and integral role in growing the organization organically.

Jerry was recognized for his entrepreneurial spirit and ingenious business sense by the Small Business Administration, Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year and most recently, the 2010 SmartCEO of the Year by Baltimore’s SmartCEO magazine.
