In March 2010, President Obama signed into law the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA). Amid questions of its constitutionality, the law has created a sense of uncertainty as to which of its reforms would be implemented and the extent of accompanying financial and regulatory burdens. The U.S. Supreme Court is expected to answer those questions through its ruling on the constitutionality of the law later this week.
