Competition Format
CASE STUDY
Finance/Investment Banking/Private Equity case study prepared by Houlihan Lokey, with contributions from other ACG finance professionals. The case study will be 15-20 pages on a business issue/problem that the students must analyze and provide recommendations to the company.
TEAMS
Teams consist of 2-5 MBA students each (based on our experience we would recommend 3-4 students per team). We also recommend the team assign a Team Leader. The Team Leader will be the primary point of contact during the course of the competition. Each team will receive the case seven days prior to the competition date for rounds 1 & 2. The presentation will be 15 minutes and can include Power Point and handouts for the judges.
ROUND 1 COMPETITION
Each team presents at their own school to a panel of judges (generally held your first week of classes in the spring semester). The presentation is 15 minutes and the judges include local finance professionals in investment banking, private equity and debt.
ROUND 2 COMPETITION
One team from each school competes in the Finals. The winning teams will receive monetary awards and their resumes will be provided for the judges.
