Family offices continue to evolve and recent years have seen a significant increase in the amount of capital being committed by these groups to the middle market. Historically, many family offices have committed monies to private equity and venture funds but increasingly seeing direct investing by these groups on both a club and individual basis. Increasingly, business owners and financial advisers are considering how best to tap into this pool of funds. This panel combines a group of family office professionals and advisers to discuss the recent trends and challenges faced by family offices and how best to work with them in middle market transactions.
