THE STORY BEHIND PRIVATE EQUITY

DATE: Friday, October 10, 2014
TIME:
7:30am - 9:30am
LOCATION: Tappan Hill Mansion
GPS: 200 Gunpowder Lane, Tarrytown, NY

OVERVIEW:
The fascinating history behind the growth of private equity investing, including the relationship between lawmakers on Capitol Hill and the investment community, is worthy of a Hollywood genre.   Stories rich with circuitous decision-making and jaw-dropping ignorance pepper the last 60 years. In honor of ACG’s 60th anniversary season, we kick-off our breakfast series with Pam Hendrickson – Chairperson of the ACG Global Board of Directors. In this lively presentation, Pam will share with us:

-The influencing factors on PE growth through the years.
-The impact of private equity investing on job creation, prosperity and economic growth in the USA.
-Updates on activity by ACG lobbyists and the new congressional caucus committed to protecting investors while sustaining our exciting way of business life.

PHenricksonFEATURED SPEAKER:
Pamela Hendrickson, Chief Operating Officer, The Riverside Company; former Chairman, Global Board of Directors, ACG

Ms. Hendrickson leads the largest division of the firm, which is made up of seven departments, including Global Deal Origination and Fundraising. She is the former Chairman of the Global Board of Directors for The Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), the organization focused on driving middle market growth. Ms. Hendrickson also received the 2012 Private Equity Manager Leadership Award from Private Equity International, thanks in large part to her years of service in the private equity industry and her innovative leadership with Riverside. She has spent considerable time promoting the benefits of private equity, including testifying before the U.S. Congress on behalf of the industry, and she is an active participant with various advocacy organizations. Prior to joining Riverside in 2006, Ms. Hendrickson spent 22 years in a variety of senior roles at JP Morgan Chase, most recently as the chief of one of the largest regions in its U.S. Private Bank.
