ACG Cup Timeline & Important Dates

Beginning mid-December:  Registration/School Team Sign-up
The competition is open to all graduate school business students and MS finance degrees at participating universities, whether they are full-time, part-time or executive MBAs.

January: Webinars for Students
ACG will hold three webinars that will be recorded and available for registered students to view in the Merrill DataSite. Once registered students will automatically receive access to these webinars.  The webinars will be held on the following topics: Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) - January 9th, Leveraged Buyouts - January 11th, and Merger Consequences Analysis - January 13th

February 6, 2012: ACG will host a workshop for registered teams on Mastering a Winning Presentation. Topics to be covered include: presentation skills (oral & written), valuation skills, private company financial metrics, and common mistakes, as well as time for Q&A. Time/Location: 4 - 5:30 pm at the office of KPMG 1601 Market Street 36th floor

Mid-February - March 23: Release of Case Study & ROUND 1 (On-Campus) Competition
Each team will analyze and present their recommendations and supporting rationale for a complex investment case that requires corporate strategy, finance and valuation skills.

ACG will utilize a Virtual Data Room for the release of the case.  All registered team members will receive log in and password information to the Merrill DataSite. Teams will have 2 weeks to prepare for the case in advance of ROUND 1.

School representatives will communicate with your team, as necessary, throughout this process and be available to answer questions (other than related to the case itself).

April 12, 2011. Finals
Teams will compete head-to-head with the winners from the other regional MBA schools for a total of up to $35,000 in prize money, which will be allocated among the final round teams as determined by the judges in their sole discretion. All teams who participate in the Finals will receive prize money.

Sponsoring firm KPMG will be the host site for Finals. Presentations have traditionally been held in the late afternoon. Further details to be circulated to participating teams.
