Clearer Skies Ahead: New CEO of Allegheny County Airport Authority Looks to Community Support For Growth

Pittsburgh has certainly experienced its share of economic turbulence since losing its USAirways hub status in 2004, but if Christina Cassotis has her way, smoother skies lie ahead. As the newly hired CEO of the Allegheny County Airport Authority, which operates the Allegheny County Airport and Pittsburgh International, the longtime aviation consultant knows that airports are a crucial engine for growth so she is turning to key stakeholders--corporate, industry, economic development and university leaders--to assess needs and rally community wide support. Christina's plan to increase both domestic and international service is three-fold: add new routes, increase the frequency of current service and upgrade the aircraft used in flights from Pittsburgh. Join us for a joint ACG / PVCA luncheon on April 2nd to hear more about her strategic plan to boost the region's tourism and economy by helping Pittsburgh take off as a hub for growing air travel opportunities.

Location: Fairmont Hotel
