KEYNOTE SPEAKER -  JACOB BLASS - PRESIDENT: THE ETHICAL ADVOCATE

Employee Fraud Looms as Major Threat to Business Owners
Why should you care about ethics in the workplace? Well, besides it being the right thing to do, it can save you a lot of money and heartache. A company with fewer than 100 employees that experiences employee fraud suffers a median loss of $98,000, according to a 2004 study from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.

Join us on February 25 to learn:

·         The cost and scope of unethical actions

·         Why 90% of us are susceptible to unethical acts
The critical importance for leaders to be ethically driven

·         The power of rationalization to justify wrong actions

·         Why an ethical culture trumps ethical policies

·         How you can create an ethical culture with teeth

·         What you can directly and uniquely do to
create and influence your company's ethical culture

President's Message

As you may have heard, there is a lot going on at ACG Raleigh Durham. Here are a few examples of the plans we have for the 2009-10 program year.

Our 7th Annual Capital Conference is planned for April 2010. We will again be hosting the only Capital Conference in the
Carolinas and we host over 60 private equity groups from across the country. In addition we will host a Reverse Capital Connection on day 1 of the event.

Once again in 2010 we will invite area mid market C-level executives to join us for exclusive C level programming during the Capital Conference. Be sure to mark April 14 & 15, 2010 in your calendars!

Our first ACG Cup competition will be launched this year! It will feature our area’s leading MBA programs participating in a case study competition featuring M&A, valuation and capital market analysis.

We are also proud to continue our C-level program series with quarterly events for our C-level members only.

Finally, our Alliances initiative is kicking off this year and our first alliance partner is UNC. Their Alumni Affairs office will invite area alumni who are in executive positions to attend ACG events where a UNC alum is speaking.

In all, a very rich agenda for our members. Won’t you consider joining us.ω

Loren Kennedy,

Raleigh-Durham Chapter President
