GOOD ENOUGH TO EAT: The Thriving Restaurant Sector
Tuesday, June 16, 2015
7:00-9:00am     Networking and Program
Marriott Del Mar

Join ACG San Diego for a lively discussion of the current state of the restaurant sector. Let’s face it: The restaurant industry is HOT! Restaurants represented many of the most sought-after IPOs of the last 12 months, and those IPOs have performed better than biotechs. You can’t hardly open the Wall Street Journal each day without reading about a fast casual restaurant IPO, including recent examples Shake Shack, Bojangles and Cinnabon (pending). Our panel of operators and advisors will discuss major trends in the restaurant sector including recent transaction trends, public market and private investment activity, the availability of equity and debt capital, the impact of rising food inputs, and how restaurants are dealing with labor issues including healthcare and wage inflation.

SPEAKERS:

Joel Weinstein, Director, W Partners (Moderator)
Joel has advised several restaurant and franchise concepts over his nearly two decade investment banking career. Joel has advised multi-unit fast casual restaurant chains and other franchise concepts in M&A transactions, joint ventures and private placements of debt and equity.
