November ACGSD Program: Recent Transactions – The Deals Behind Advisor of the Year

November 17, Tuesday 7am-9am
New Venue:  Lomas Santa Fe Country Club

Join ACG members and guests at Lomas Santa Fe Country Club for a breakfast program providing the "back story" on three deals for which advisors were honored at the BNY Mellon "Advisor of the Year Awards."

Dr. Alan Creutz of mergePoint Solutions advised Endectra, an early-stage company working to commercialize a new radiation detection technology for the "Internet of Things." Dr. Creutz helped Endectra obtain an NSF grant, refine its capital structure, growth plans, and exit strategy. Dr. Creutz’ s involvement resulted in the release of state matching funds, enhanced investor interest, and an increase likelihood of success with larger NSF grants.

Paul M. Polito, CPA was recognized with an AOTY award for Sell-Side CPA Support in connection with the sale of Oceanscience to Teledyne Technologies (NYSE: TDY). In just two years, Paul played a significant and critical role in bringing Oceanscience from having no CPA-prepared reports other than tax returns to having financial reviews that covered a four-year span with full disclosures in accordance with GAAP. Paul's work confirmed and highlighted the excellence of Oceanscience and its high margins. In the process he identified and resolved two issues that would have presented significant downward pressure on the price during due diligence.

Joel Reed, Managing Principal of RA Capital Advisors will discuss a recent transaction for which he received an AOTY Award.
