2012 ACG Tampa Bay Cup


ACG Tampa Bay is pleased to present our 3rd Annual ACG Cup Competition.

The "ACG Cup", a case study competition conducted each year across the country, designed to give students from leading graduate programs valuable insights into mergers and acquisitions, investment banking, financial advisory and private equity.

As an ACG member, you are welcome to attend Round 1 competitions to watch the graduate students present their case study in response to "Advising a Company on Potential Sales Alternatives." The winning teams from each Round 1 will participate in the Final Round 2 competition to be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 prior to our Monthly ACG Tampa Bay meeting.

2011 ACG Tampa Bay Cup

 

2011 Presenting Sponsor

Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) Tampa Bay Chapter has awarded the ACG Tampa Bay 2011 Cup to a team from the University of Florida.  Raymond James was presenting sponsor for the second annual ACG Tampa Bay Cup, a premier graduate-level business case competition.


 
"We’re pleased to have had good response to our ACG Cup program, a case study competition conducted each year in many ACG cities across the country," says Mike Eitler of Blue Lion Consulting, 2011 ACG Cup chairman.  "This is an important part of our Chapter’s efforts to share insights related to M&A, investment banking, financial advisory and private equity activity with students from local graduate business programs." 

Graduate business students from University of Florida, University of South Florida and University of Tampa participated in first-round competitions within their universities, with each sending one team to participate in the final round.  The overall winning team was from University of Florida, with the University of South Florida receiving second prize and University of Tampa third prize.  Members of the University of Florida team were Jesse Andrews, Yujin Cho, William Light, Carol Skordas and Andrew Winner.

Judges for the final round of competition, sponsored by Raymond James, were Curt Creely, Foley & Lardner; Joe Gitto, Management Planning, Inc.; Ken Grider, Raymond James; Jack Henard, Meridian Partners and Steve Schuetz, Valuation Research Corporation; Doug Arthur, The Bank of Tampa.
