James Abrams began his career as a high school teacher in the Detroit public schools and became a nationally lauded entrepreneur and investor. He created national brands in multiple industries including consumer products and services, contractor services, training, and financial services. He took one of his first companies public on the NASDAQ and ultimately the NYSE. That business went on to grow to over 900 million in revenue. In 2012 Abrams and longtime business associate, Terry Nicholson, formed BizZoom, Inc., a small private equity firm that invests in and grows successful consumer products and services. BizZoom’s initial investment was in the Fyzical franchise.
