ACG WI - September 3, 2009 Golf Outing
The Wisconsin Chapter of ACG hosted the third annual golf outing at Ozaukee Country Club on Thursday, September 3rd. We had the good fortune of a sunny, warm afternoon for twenty-four ACG members and guests. In addition to members of the local chapter, there were a few members from the Chicago chapter and one from Minneapolis.
Congratulations to Mark Witt, Andy Hall, Ron Miller, Dave Schuelke and Mike Pepke for their success in the on-course flag events. Despite having one of the highest handicaps in the field, Mike Pepke walked away with two of the closest to the pin awards on holes number 14 and 16. Even with his close proximity to the cup, he missed both birdie puts.
The primary events were a two net best ball (with handicaps) and a one gross best ball (without handicaps) between the six foursomes. For the two net best ball event, congratulations to the winning foursome of Tony Bartell, Tom Parro, Bill Goodman and Paul Sweeney with a score of 113. The second place team of Jim Meyer, Denis Prado, Kent Velde and Jim DeJong finished with a 125. However, they also won the gross best ball event with a score of 73.
The ACG would like to thank all of the golfers that participated with a special thanks to Tracy for all of her work in organizing the event. We hope to see everyone again next year.
