The National Restaurant Association reported restaurant industry sales of nearly $799 billion last year, representing almost 4% of U.S. GDP and approximately 48% of total food dollars spent in the United States.

Despite industry-wide growth for several years, restaurant operators face significant challenges in keeping pace in an environment that is changing at a much faster rate than ever before. Evolving consumer tastes and preferences, workforce constraints, and intense competition have continued in 2018, creating a deeper divide between successful and unsuccessful operators. Those that respond in a timely, effective way have an opportunity to thrive, while others struggle to keep their doors open.

Join us at ACG 101’s Restaurant Industry Panel on Wednesday, September 5th to hear how operators are dealing with these issues, using technology to streamline their operations, and working to more efficiently acquire - and stay connected with - their target consumers.

We will also discuss the benefits of the franchise model as a means of growth, exploring the unique challenges and opportunities that come with franchising.

Panelists: Christopher Braun, CEO, Juice it Up; Vasili Hatziris, Founder & CEO, Malibu Restaurant Group / Malibu Eatery; and Jeff Harris, CFO of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. Moss Adams Partner Justine Hunter will moderate the panel discussion; David Bonrouhi, Managing Director at Calabasas Capital, will provide the industry overview.

Moss Adams Partner Stephen Redmond, CPA will moderate the panel discussion; David Bonrouhi, Managing Director at Calabasas Capital, will provide the industry overview.
