Join ACG 101 for a live panel discussion on the Current State of Private Equity and Middle Market M&A, with Laura Held from Shamrock Capital, Travis Mack from Saalex Corporation, Craig Enenstein from Corridor Capital and Matthew Brown of WhiteHorse Capital. 

The panel will be led by Eva Davis, Corporate Partner and Chair of the Transactions Department at Winston & Strawn LLP, with a market overview given by David Bonrouhi of the investment banking firm, Calabasas Capital. Topics will include trends in deal volume, valuation, deal structuring, availability of leverage, inflation, interest rates, industry-specific deal dynamics and fallout from the recent banking crisis.

David Bonrouhi is co-founder and Managing Director of Calabasas Capital, a boutique investment banking firm that provides M&A advisory and private equity and debt capital raising for lower mid-market companies. David has 25 years of investment banking and private equity experience. He began his investment banking career at Merrill Lynch in New York and later worked in private equity and venture capital for UnionBanCal Equities, where he co-managed Union Bank’s $200 million portfolio of private equity investments in middle market companies in a wide range of industries. David began his career as a CPA and tax consultant with Price Waterhouse in New York. David holds Series 7, 63 and 79 licenses with Fallbrook Capital Securities Corporation (Calabasas Capital is a dba of Fallbrook Capital). David is a licensed California CPA (inactive) and a licensed California real estate broker. David has an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurial Studies from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management; and a Masters in Tax and a B.S. in Accounting from Miami of Ohio.

Travis T. Mack is the Founder and Fund Manager of the Greenwood Self Storage Funds, a $25 million-dollar commercial real estate Private Equity fund that was launched in June 2022. The fund takes advantage of his 15 years of experience in the self-storage vertical, acquiring cash flowing "B" market self storage assets, and utilizing facility automation and green initiatives to reduce expenses and drive return for investors. Greenwood is dedicated to providing high quality, private equity investments to a broader more diverse investor group. In addition to his work with Greenwood, Mr. Mack holds various leadership roles in both the federal government and private sectors. He is the Chairman & CEO of Saalex Corporation, a Federal aerospace and defense contractor generating over $100 million in annual revenues and employing over 800 people nationwide serving the Army, Navy, Air Force, NASA, and Municipal governments. Prior to founding Saalex Corporation, Mr. Mack served in the U.S. Navy for over 7 years, where he earned several accolades as a decorated service-disabled Veteran. Mr. Mack is also the CEO of Valeo Networks, a commercial Information Technology company focusing on Cybersecurity, cloud solutions, network administration, and security for small and medium-sized businesses. Valeo generates over $20 million in annual revenue and employs over 100 people nationwide. Valeo is backed by the renowned Private Equity Firm Siebert, Williams, and Shank to execute a Mergers & Acquisition consolidation strategy for IT Managed Services Providers. In 2019, Mr. Mack founded "The Mack Foundation," a non-profit organization that provides scholarships and educational opportunities to kids and underserved communities. The foundation's mission is to break financial barriers for students, provide opportunities and show them that hard work pays off. Mr. Mack holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Business from Webber International University, and completed Executive Leadership Programs at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, HBCU Clark Atlanta University, USC Marshall School of Business, and UCLA Anderson School of Business. Previously, Laura served on the boards of Wpromote, Mobilitie, RBmedia, and Questex. Prior to joining Shamrock in 2012, Laura worked in the Corporate Strategy group at The Walt Disney Company. She also previously worked at The Carlyle Group and Credit Suisse.

Craig founded Corridor Capital, LLC in 2005 to pursue investments in lower middle market buyouts. Leveraging his operating and investment experience, Craig approaches investing as an active partner. Craig developed Corridor Capital to be a strategic and operational partner to the companies in which it invests and to work closely with the management and boards of directors of those companies.

Prior to launching Corridor Capital, Craig led transactions for Omninet Capital, Liberty Digital and Knowledge Universe where he completed over two dozen private equity and venture capital investments across a wide range of industries. He developed a reputation for working closely with management of the portfolio companies to assist in business strategy, mergers and acquisitions sourcing and execution, capital access and structuring, operations restructuring and business planning. Prior to joining Knowledge Universe, Craig was a strategy consultant with L.E.K. Consulting and Bain & Company.
