Meet the Board: Carol Bartholemy, Chief Financial Officer, Seek Thermal, Inc.

Introduce us to your day job, title and responsibilities.

I am currently the Chief Financial Officer of Seek Thermal, Inc., an innovative infrared thermal imaging manufacturer headquartered in beautiful Santa Barbara. My responsibilities include all aspects of accounting, financial planning and analysis, treasury, compliance, credit, accounts payable and accounts receivable. As a growing manufacturing company, our Finance team is focused on supporting the growth of our organization efficiently and effectively.

What inspired you to pursue a job in this industry?

My career started in public accounting and I had the good fortune of being exposed to a variety of clients. I gravitated to serving middle market clients with innovative products along their growth trajectory, which led to my subsequent career choices. Line 6, Inc. was my client, a venture backed musical products innovator where I enjoyed working for close to 16 years. A year after a successful merger with Yamaha of Japan, I joined Seek Thermal, where I have continued with my passion for growing companies with innovative products. I truly enjoy the unique challenges and camaraderie associated with this type of business environment.

Why was it important for you to be involved in ACG 101 at the Board level?

ACG 101 provides a great opportunity for CFOs and other professionals to interact and see what’s going on in the world outside their organizations. CFO’s especially (including me) can tend to get stuck in the office! ACG provides a great outlet for meaningful connections, up to date topics and timely information helpful to CFOs and other middle market professionals.

What is your favorite thing about ACG 101?

My favorite thing is definitely the professional and personal relationships built as a result of being a part of this great organization.

What excites you most about the direction of ACG 101, and how will you contribute to it?

It’s a really exciting time to be a part of ACG101. We have a great team providing renewed energy and innovative ideas to bring the local business community together. Our continued commitment
to donate to important causes within our communities is the icing on the cake!
