Adam Elmore joined Carousel Capital in 2017. Previously, Mr. Elmore was a Director at BlackArch Partners, where he led the firm’s private company advisory practice, a proprietary business unit within the firm that focused on establishing and building client relationships with owner-operators, family businesses, and management teams across twelve industry verticals.

Mr. Elmore leads Carousel Capital’s investment origination efforts. In this role, he is responsible for originating, assessing, and developing investment leads and relationships with companies. He also develops and maintains relationships with entrepreneurs, investment bankers, attorneys, accountants, financing providers, and other sources of opportunities.

Mr. Elmore received a Bachelor of Arts in History from Davidson College and a Master of Business Administration from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.

Barbara Mulligan is the Director of the Middle Market Banking group at Synovus Bank, a $61B top-performing mid-cap bank headquartered in Columbus, GA. Barbara and her team cover middle market companies throughout Alabama and Mississippi. Synovus’ middle market group works with privately held, public and sponsor-backed companies and provides a range of senior financing solutions including working capital, term debt, cash flow and enterprise value-based facilities. Prior to joining Synovus, Barbara was a Director of Corporate and Institutional Banking at Cadence Bank responsible for managing and growing a portfolio for corporate banking relationships and private equity firms across the U.S. to finance leveraged buyout transactions and cash flow loans, including senior/ junior, senior/ mezz, and unitranche structures.

Barbara received her MBA from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School and her bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Alabama. Beyond her professional endeavors, Barbara is a member of the Birmingham Downtown Rotary Club, serves on the Birmingham Zoo Junior Board and is on the Finance Committee at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church. She is a proud mom of McKenzie (3) and Mark (1).

Brad is a Shareholder in the Corporate and Business Transactions Practice and serves as Chair of the Firm's Mergers & Acquisitions Practice. As mergers and acquisitions (M&A) counsel to a wide variety of companies and investment funds, including public and private operating companies, private equity and venture capital funds, and family offices, Brad has closed over 150 M&A transactions worth billions of dollars in aggregate transaction value.

While Brad represents companies and investment funds of all types and sizes, he has developed particular expertise in middle-market private company transactions with transaction values ranging between $25 million and $500 million or more. These transactions include a broad range of structures, including mergers, equity, and asset acquisitions/ divestitures, private equity and venture capital financings, "add on" acquisitions, minority and dividend recapitalizations, and joint ventures. Brad also regularly guides clients through corporate governance issues and provides general counsel and strategic business advice.

Brad is recognized by Chambers and Partners as a leading practitioner in Corporate Law and by The Best Lawyers in America© for Corporate Law, Mergers & Acquisitions Law (2021-present). He serves on the Law360® Mergers & Acquisitions Editorial Board. In addition, Brad was recognized as a "Top 40 Under 40" by the Birmingham Business Journal and has been recognized as an "Emerging Leader" by the M&A Advisor and as a "Top Attorney" in the area of Corporate and Finance Law by Birmingham Magazine. Prior to law school, Brad worked as an auditor at Arthur Andersen's Birmingham office. Following law school, he practiced in Nashville, Tennessee, and Chicago, Illinois, before joining Maynard. He also completed the Legal Project Management instruction and coaching program through LegalBizDev.

Senior Manager – M&A Tax

After graduating college (University of Alabama) and law school (South Texas College of Law), Taylor started in PwC’s M&A tax practice focusing on tax due diligence and tax structuring (buy-side, sell-side, and strategy implementation) for large privately and publicly held clients. He then transitioned into PwC’s Washington National Tax practice focusing on loss planning / section 382 and working with clients on PLRs and other complex tax matters. In 2021, Taylor moved back to Birmingham, Alabama with his family and switched firms (moving back to RSM’s Birmingham office, where he first interned at in college). At RSM Taylor primarily focuses on helping clients, portfolio companies, and their relevant stake holders with all their tax structuring and complex tax matters from acquisition to exit.

Outside of work, Taylor enjoys spending time with his wife Lauren and their two kids Luke and Molly hiking, water skiing, or playing in the yard.
