ACG Boston is looking for leaders amongst our membership to join our various committees! Volunteering helps you enhance your profile in the community and influence the direction of the organization and its programs. By being part of a committee, you have a unique opportunity to connect with fellow volunteers on a deeper level resulting in strong and long lasting relationships.

Committees

  • Programs Committee - Drive general programming for the chapter.  Help determine topics and solicit speakers for bi-monthly C-Series Breakfast events, M&A Outlook Conference, and other events as needed.
  • ACG Ambassador Program - Act as ambassadors of the Boston chapter, to welcome and engage new and current members, and help nurture and connect our member community.  
  • DEI Committee - Drive programming and initiatives to promote diversity and inclusion in chapter activities, and help develop a network of diverse dealmakers.  
  • Providence Series - Help plan quarterly content & networking events for Providence-based deal community
  • Manufacturing/Industrials Committee - Help determine topics, format and speakers for manufacturing/industrials conference in Spring 2022, and build engagement among industry peer groups.  
  • Healthcare Committee - Help determine topics, format & speakers for healthcare conference in Fall 2022, and build engagement among industry peer groups.
  • Technology Committee -  Help determine topics, format & speakers for future technology conference & events, and build engagement among industry peer groups.
  • DealFest Northeast - Help plan ACG Boston’s largest, nationally attended signature event held in June.  Includes beer tasting reception & DealSource Select.  
  • Social/Activities Committee - Help drive networking and activity based events for the chapter, including golf, skiing, tastings, etc.

Invitation-Only Peer Driven Committees

  • Women's Connection - Plan content and networking events and drive initiatives for women in M&A community.
  • Deal Hunters - Plan content and networking events and drive initiatives for industry young professionals.  Includes working group to help plan annual ACCELERATOR (leadership development) program.  Ideal for deal professionals 35 & under. 
  • PE/IB Committee - Provide thought leadership and help drive initiatives specifically for the PE/IB community.  Includes outreach for The BIG Deal event held in January, exclusively for VP-level and above PE, family offices and Investment Bankers. Committee criteria: mid-to-senior level PE or IB member.  
  • Family Office Series - Help drive programming and attendee outreach for invitation only events for family offices.  Committee criteria- family offices (SFO or MFOs) .
  • Operators Committee - Help drive programming and attendee outreach for invitation-only roundtables for PE operating partners and/or PE backed company executives (PEER series).  Committee criteria: PE operating partner or PE backed company CEO/CFO.
  • Strategic Acquirers Roundtable - Help drive quarterly programming and attendee outreach for invitation-only roundtable series for corporate development professionals.  Committee criteria: Corporate Development professional of middle market company.

General Requirements

The success of these committees is highly dependent upon the full participation of its members. To that end, we require of our committee members:

  • Must be an active member of ACG Boston
  • Willingness to be assigned and to lead initiatives by the Chair
  • Participation in committee meetings or calls
  • Be goal driven in helping ACG Boston grow and thrive in the M&A community
