Educational institutions had to quickly pivot in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, accelerating the role of technology at unprecedented rates.  While progress has been made, there is still much to be done, and a continued need for innovation and integration.

Michael London, CEO of Uwill and premier education technology entrepreneur with over 20 years of industry innovation under his belt, will share his insights into the future growth and opportunities in EdTech, reflecting on lessons learned from his experience infusing the industry with impactful technology.

Following Michael’s presentation, attendees will be placed into breakout rooms for small group discussions and networking with their M&A peers.

Mr. London is the founding CEO of Uwill, a fast-growing mental health platform and global counseling network for students. He is a recognized thought-leader and pioneer within education technology and entrepreneurship having created more than one billion dollars in company value throughout his career. In 2013, he founded Examity, a leader in learning validation and online proctoring. Prior, Michael led Bloomberg Institute, an EdTech start-up funded by Mayor Bloomberg. His earlier successes include the founding of College Coach and EdAssist, both acquired by Bright Horizons Family Solutions. In 2019, he was a finalist for the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award and held a position on the Governor’s Commission for Digital Education and Lifelong Learning. Michael is a current Trustee at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and The Rivers School as well as a Member of the Advisory Board at Babson College where he graduated with honors. He also received his MBA from Boston University.

Danielle Lussier, Senior Vice President – Relationship Manager, is with Wells Fargo’s Technology Banking Group. As part of this specialized industry banking team, Ms. Lussier is dedicated to building relationships through delivering sound, strategic and balanced advice, operational and capital support to early stage, growth stage and mature/public technology companies. Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Ms. Lussier was Vice President – Sr. Business Development Officer with KeyBank. Her prior experience includes First Niagara Commercial Finance where she was First Vice President - Senior Portfolio Manager, managing portfolio relationships, Salus Capital, where she was a Vice President - Portfolio Manager overseeing diverse asset based loans, Wells Fargo Capital Finance, where she was an Assistant Vice President - Credit Analyst, and as a Senior Treasury Analyst and Supervisor of Banking Relationships at the office of the Massachusetts State Treasury. She received a B.A. in Political Science and a M.B.A. degree from Simmons College. She is a board member for the Association of Corporate Growth Boston (ACG), co-chair of ACG’s Women in Leadership (WOL) Committee, is a board member for the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) of New England, serves as chair of the TMA’s Membership Committee, and is co-chair for the TMA’s Network of Women (NOW).
