Hear from both sides as Jeff Swearingen, the Founder & CEO of Austin-based tech company, SecureLink, shares his experience with exploring his options to accelerate the growth of his company, and Rene Yang, Co-Head and Principal at Austin-based, Vista Equity Partners, shares why and how Vista partnered with SecureLink.

Cancellation Policy – Cancellations received in writing to acgcentraltexas@acg.org by 5pm, March 6th will receive a full refund. There are no refunds for cancellations received after 5pm on March 6th. If you are an ACG Member unable to attend, you can transfer your registration to another person for this same event. If the person attending in your place is not an ACG Member, they will need to pay an additional fee to bring them up to the non-member rate to attend.

Jeff Swearingen is Co-Founder & CEO of SecureLink. Since 2003, Jeff led the company to become the leader in its market, without any institutional capital. In 2017, Jeff led the effort to sell the company to Vista Equity Partners. Prior to SecureLink, Jeff sold enterprise technologies before founding his first startup, TheGift.com in 1997. Jeff is a native of Minnesota, a graduate of the University of Texas.

Co-Head and Principal
René Yang joined Vista Equity Partners in 2007. Ms. Yang is Co-Head of the Vista Endeavor Fund and sits on the Vista Endeavor Fund Investment Committee. She currently sits on the boards of Gather, SecureLink, and Zapproved and was actively involved in the firm’s investments in Accruent, AGDATA, Bullhorn, Lone Wolf, and Mitratech. Prior to joining Vista, Ms. Yang worked at Yahoo! in the Corporate Finance Group, focusing on mergers and acquisitions and business development opportunities for the company. Before her time at Yahoo!, Ms. Yang worked at Lehman Brothers in the Global Technology Group.
