THE ART OF CHALLENGING THE STATUS QUO

You've graduated from college and with that degree you've landed your first job. Maybe you've moved up to your next job. You're loaded with enthusiasm about the opportunities in front of you . . . if they would just listen.
Welcome to corporate America.  Too often, it sounds like this:
"We've already tried that."
"That's not how we do things."
"You're not experienced enough to take that on."
"Wait your turn - that's what I had to do."

How do you shake things up while keeping your career in high gear? Chad McNair has some answers on how to challenge the status quo while you thrive in your role.  Chad will offer insights on how to buck the trend and create your own path to success.

Chad is an entrepreneur who founded Aspen Beverage Group nearly 20 years ago. With no external funding, Aspen increased their manufacturing footprint by 300 percent and doubled their workforce in just three years.  Aspen is a market leader in high quality custom beverages.

Chad has a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois and an MBA from the University of Houston.

Young professionals are invited to join us on Tuesday, December 18th from 3:00 - 4:30PM for this NextGen event. Our speaker will be Chad McNair, Executive Director of Aspen Beverage Group. This meeting is part of our Professional Development series and will take place at 755 E. Mulberry Ave., Suite 200. Happy Hour to follow at Bombay Bicycle Club.

Online registration is FREE but seating is limited, so sign up TODAY!

Aspen Beverage Group
Founder

Chad grew up in the Midwest and is a graduate of the University of Illinois.  In 1988, Chad met his wife, Shelly, also a University of Illinois graduate, while she was attending Baylor College of Medicine on an Air Force scholarship.  When she graduated in 1991, the Air Force moved them to San Antonio.  Chad started Aspen Beverage 25 years ago this past March.  In order to convince his pregnant wife that starting a new business was a good idea, he proposed he would start the company with $1,000.00 and promised he would never put the family at risk by borrowing money.  From humble beginnings in the back of a warehouse over two decades ago, the core values of Aspen Beverage were established early and continue today. Treat people the way you would like to be treated, create high quality and innovative products, listen carefully to your customer, deliver superior service, and provide exceptional value.  Like many founders, Chad McNair began extracting and bottling his products by hand, then selling the elixir to coffee shops and grocery stores in Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. Innovation led to excitement when the coffee category took off around cold brew. The years of cultivating customer relationships, global branding, and retail put Aspen in position to take advantage of market growth.  Chad sold Aspen Beverage last June to Finlays, based in London.  Chad remains as CEO for a little while longer and a member of the Board of Aspen Beverage.  Today, Aspen Beverage is a market leader in Cold Brew Coffee and Liquid Coffee Concentrates.
