2017 Equity Capital Markets Review

In the first half of 2017, equity capital markets bankers breathed a collective sigh of relief after a flood of deals produced a welcome turnaround for the asset class that last year suffered its worst year for underwriting fees since 2003.

ECM activity total $400.1 billion during the first half of 2017, a 33% increase compared to a year ago and the strongest first six months for global equity capital markets issuance in two years. By number of issues, 2,735 ECM offerings were brought to market during the first quarter, a 29% increase compared to a year ago and the strongest first half for new offerings since the first half of 1996, when 2,858 offerings priced.

Join ACG and a team of experts for a full debrief of the global ECM landscape in 2017 and understand the ongoing dynamics within the global and U.S. ECM and key areas of focus this year. Highlights include:

  • Overview of key trends driving ECM activity during 2017 and 2018 forecast
  • Deep dive into historical trends and sectors, with Thomson Reuters industry-leading deals data and league tables
  • Exclusive commentary and insights from IFR, the world’s leading source of fixed income, capital markets and investment banking

Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions both in advance of, and during, the webinar. Email your questions to Kristen Romeo, manager, meetings & education, with ACG Global at kromeo@acg.org.
