Chris Calabrese is a Partner at Philadelphia-based LBC Small Cap and former partner and co-founder of its affiliate, LBC Credit Partners.  Since being founded in 2005 LBC has invested over $8 billion through 10 different funds in a diverse pool of companies spanning various industry sectors.  LBC Small Cap invests in businesses with EBITDA up to $5 million while LBC Credit Partners seeks a minimum EBITDA of $5 million.  Prior to joining LBC Chris held various senior roles at Wells Fargo Capital Finance through what was formerly Congress Financial Corporation.  Chris’ extensive background in lending to the middle market includes roles with First Union Capital Markets, CoreStates Bank, Meridian Commercial Finance, and Mellon Bank.  Chris has a B.S. Degree from Widener University and an MBA from Drexel University.

Managing Director

Allan Cruickshanks is a Managing Director at TM Capital Corp. His extensive investment banking experience encompasses a wide variety of transactions across numerous industry verticals including Industrials and Niche Manufacturing, Specialty Distribution and E-Commerce, Business Services, Building Products and Consumer Durables, and Aerospace & Defense, among others. He has worked with numerous industry-leading private equity, financial sponsor, private, and public companies, many of which are repeat clients. Prior to joining TM Capital, Allan was a Managing Director at BB&T Capital Markets, where he focused primarily on sell-side M&A advisory for private equity and other clients. He previously worked at boutique investment banking and brokerage firm Anderson & Strudwick. Prior to that he worked at Jefferies Quarterdeck, the Aerospace, Defense, & Government Services focused practice of Jefferies & Company.  Allan holds a B.A. with Distinction from the University of Virginia.

Mr. Smith joined Harren in 2014. His responsibilities include identifying, assessing, and executing investment opportunities, primarily in the business and technology services industries.

Mr. Smith has served on the boards of directors of several current and prior Harren investments including Mission Pets, AGI-CFI Holdings, Inc. and Velosio Holdings, LLC. He has assisted these companies in developing financial and KPI reporting, enhancing IT systems and functionality, sourcing and executing add-on acquisitions, and implementing best-in-class talent recruitment, employee retention, and leadership development practices. 

Prior to joining Harren, Mr. Smith was a member of the Leveraged Finance Group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he worked on numerous financing transactions for a variety of non-investment grade corporate and private equity clients.

A former captain of the varsity men’s basketball team at Washington & Lee, Mr. Smith remains passionate about the sport. He is an active coach and volunteer with the Virginia Basketball Academy, a Charlottesville-area year-round youth basketball training & development program.

Mr. Smith lives in Charlottesville with his wife Annie and their Scottish terrier Lexington. In his free time, he dabbles as a mediocre-yet-enthusiastic golfer and skier and works on his master’s degree in computer science. He also enjoys traveling, pick-up basketball, and supporting the UVA and W&L basketball teams.
