Wayne L. Rogers is Chairman and CEO of The Northeast Maglev, LLC (TNEM). 

His presentation will share developments and updates on "Bringing the World’s Fastest Train to the United States"

Mr. Rogers has extensive professional experience in engineering, construction, finance, and development. As Chairman of the Synergics Group of companies, which owns and operates renewable energy power stations, he has led large teams of professionals in the finance, construction, and operation of power stations in nine states. As a leading energy and development expert, he has testified before Congress and spoken at many national and international conferences. 

Mr. Rogers has provided consulting services to power producers, municipalities, irrigation districts, States and the Federal Government. He has directed electric power definitional missions to Grenada, Honduras, Brazil, Argentina, Ecuador, Peru, Guatemala, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Pakistan and India. 

Mr. Rogers served as Chairman of the U.S. Export Council for Renewable Energy and served as President and Director of the National Hydropower Association, representing over 100 companies that generate 12% of the electricity of the United States. He is a member of the Board of Directors for CareFirst Blue Cross Blue Shield, an $8 billion enterprise that provides health care insurance for 45% of the people in Maryland, Delaware, District of Columbia and Northern Virginia. 

Mr. Rogers received a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Naval Academy, a Masters in Business Administration from Southern Illinois University, and earned his Juris Doctor from Georgetown University.  He is a Member of the Bar of Maryland, Hawaii, and the District of Columbia.

Mr. Rogers has also served as Chairman of the Maryland Democratic Party and as a member of the Executive Committee of the Democratic National Committee, including roles on the Convention Site Selection Committee and as Finance Vice Chairman.
