ACG NJ’s Women of Leadership honors Women’s History Month with a program featuring impactful women executives in the C-Suite and Corporate Boardroom

Join us to hear this extraordinary panel of experts, including Anita Allen, Joanne Mandry, Peggy McHale, and Amy Valentine, as they come together to share their own experiences serving in executive and board roles in the for profit and non-profit sectors.  Executive and board leadership styles, relative roles and fiduciary duties, gender diversity, and significant career opportunities will be explored as Kelly Watson, Partner (retired) KPMG, shapes the conversation and encourages the panelists to navigate through many challenging topics.

Anita L. Allen, CPA, serves as an independent board member for the Tingley Rubber Corporation, a privately owned company that is a leader in the personal protective equipment (PPE) industry. She chairs the Audit Committee and also serves on the Nominating and Governance Committee.  Anita is also the chair of the board of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) New Jersey chapter.  Anita is president of Allen Advisory Group, a management consulting firm which assists clients with business transformation, performance improvement, organizational change and process redesign initiatives.  Her ability to connect people, business processes and information systems is combined with a deep understanding of the linkages between strategy, operations, organization and technology across a variety of industries.

Peggy McHale serves as an independent board member for Pariveda Solutions an employee-owned (ESOP), strategy and technology consulting company based in Dallas, Texas. She serves on both the audit and compensation committees. Peggy is also the co-founder and recently retired Managing Director for Blend 360 (Formerly C2G Partners and Consultants 2 Go) a Newark, NJ based consulting firm that provides marketing and data science solutions to Fortune 500 companies in the Financial Services, Fintech, Telecom, CPG, Healthcare, IT and Insurance industries.  C2G was acquired in 2016 by Whitegate Capital Partners, a private equity firm.  Peggy founded the company with her business partner Sandi Webster in 2002 and grew it into one of the fastest growing businesses in the US. The company was named to the Inc 500 list for seven years. In addition, C2G was recognized twice by Fortune Magazine/ICCC as one of the top 100 Inner City Companies in the US. Peggy was also a two-time finalist for EY’s Entrepreneur of the Year. She was awarded Leading Women of NJ and Top 50 Women Leaders in NJ by NJ Biz.

Amy Valentine has held senior executive positions in private equity-backed portfolio companies for the past 15 years, working with 5 different PE companies in both consumer and industrial products. For the past 4 years, she has served as CFO of SFERRA, a leader in luxury home products that employs the finest materials from elite mills in Europe to distribute sumptuous sheeting, towels, and other home products. In 2018, the company was sold from Levine Leichtman Capital Partners to Highlander Partners and is poised for continued growth, most recently expanding geographically by opening a new shop within Harrod’s in London. Prior to SFERRA, Amy was the VP of Finance at Chromalox, an industry leader in thermal technology products, based in Pittsburgh, PA. During Amy’s time at Chromalox, the company experienced global footprint expansion, acquisition, product line expansion, and underwent two successful private equity sales. Prior to Chromalox, Amy held various positions at PPG Industries, a global supplier of industrial coatings, chemicals and glass (NYSE: PPG). Amy has an undergraduate degree from Grove City College and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. Amy was named among the top 50 women in business by NJBIZ magazine in 2016, and she was awarded a "40 under 40" award by Pittsburgh magazine in 2014 for professional and civic contributions to the area.

In May 2019, Kelly retired from KPMG LLP after spending 32 years at the public accounting firm, where she held roles of increasing responsibility and leadership.  She is currently consulting with a number of companies in the areas of governance and risk as well as advising government agencies in the economic development arena. 
From 2016 to 2019, she served as the Partner in Charge of KPMG's U.S. and Americas Risk Consulting Practice, leading a team of more than 4,900 partners and professionals who provide the risk and compliance insights organizations need to protect themselves and grow. Prior to this position, Kelly spent six years as the Office Managing Partner of the firm’s New Jersey business unit, which houses more than 1,100 people who serve the state’s largest companies and mid-market clients. Kelly has been a global lead partner and account executive on a number of Fortune 100 clients.
