Dr. Avi Ishaaya

Dr. Avi Ishaaya

Beverly Hills Medical Center
Pulmonary, Sleep, Internal & Geriatric Medicine

Dr. Avi Ishaaya, MD, FCCP, FAASM, FACGS, MACGS Pulmonary, Sleep, Internal & Geriatric Medicine | Integrative & Functional Medicine Beverly Hills, California

Dr. Avi Ishaaya brings over three decades of clinical experience to the intersection of conventional and integrative medicine. Board-certified in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine, sleep medicine, and geriatrics, and a longtime assistant clinical professor at UCLA School of Medicine, Dr. Ishaaya has spent his career asking a question that defines the future of medicine: not simply what is wrong with the patient, but why — and what the body needs to heal itself.

At his Beverly Hills medical center, practicing a naturopathic, integrative healing approach, Dr. Ishaaya brings a uniquely whole-person perspective to all medical issues his patients present, including sleep. He understands sleep not as an isolated clinical variable, but as a foundational pillar of health that is inseparable from stress, hormonal balance, nutrition, and physical vitality. Rooted in the principles of functional medicine and inspired by the pioneering work of Dr. John Tilden on nerve energy and the body's innate healing intelligence, his approach addresses the root causes of sleep disruption rather than managing its symptoms.

His center offers a comprehensive range of advanced diagnostics and treatments that bridge conventional medicine with functional and alternative modalities — including thermography, spectrophotometry, and sophisticated metabolic and physiological assessments that go beyond standard testing to reveal the deeper story of a patient's health.

A speaker, author, researcher, and medical-legal expert with television appearances including The Doctors, Dr. Ishaaya is equally at home in the clinical setting and on the public stage — translating complex medical science into practical, empowering guidance for patients and audiences alike.
