Andrew Lohmann is executive vice president of Hirschler and chair of the firm's Business Section, bringing more than two decades of experience advising middle market businesses, private equity funds, and executives on mergers and acquisitions, capital transactions, corporate governance, commercial transactions and employment law. Trusted by clients across numerous industries, including manufacturing, technology, distribution, business services, and financial services, Andrew is known for cutting through complexity and translating legal nuance into clear, actionable guidance — making him a go-to advisor for both high-stakes transactions and the day-to-day legal matters that keep businesses running smoothly.

A nationally recognized M&A practitioner, Andrew has served as lead counsel on transactions ranging from founder-owned business sales to multi-billion dollar M&A transactions between private equity portfolio companies, and has been a four-time national finalist for The M&A Advisor's Legal Advisor of the Year Award. Consistently recognized by Chambers USA, Best Lawyers in America®, and Virginia Super Lawyers, he brings both market perspective and a deeply client-centered approach to every engagement. Andrew also serves as outside general counsel to private equity portfolio companies and other closely held businesses, offering valuable counsel long after the deal is done.

Andrew received his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law and a B.A. in economics and political science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
