NEW YORK, NY – June 22, 2018 – ACG New York, the largest association for middle-market dealmaking professionals in New York, and The M&A Advisor announced today the winners of the 8th Annual ACG New York Champion’s Awards held last night at the Metropolitan Club in New York City. The annual tribute recognizes and honors the leading middle-market transactions, firms and dealmakers within the local ACG community responsible for supporting middle-market growth in New York. The winners were selected in the following categories: Business Services Deal of the Year, Financial Services Deal of the Year; Consumer/Retail Deal of the Year; Healthcare/Pharma Deal of the Year; Manufacturing/Industrials Deal of the Year; Technology, Media, and Telecom Deal of the Year; and Cross- Border Deal of the Year.

Among the esteemed honorees were Jay Jester, Managing Director, Audax Private Equity, who was presented with the Peter Hilton Founder's Award and Kathy Nalywajko, the recipient of the Chapter Leadership Award, who is a Senior Vice President and Investment Counselor for Capital Group Private Client Services. Marilyn Adler, Senior Managing Director of Medley Management Inc. received the Lou Halstead Women of Leadership Award.
The ACG New York Champion’s Awards committee called out to leading middle market dealmakers to nominate deals they were actively involved with that closed between March 1, 2017 and Feb 28, 2018. “This year’s winners represent firms and professionals that have exhibited a high degree of acumen in the dealmaking process and are deserving of receiving the Champion’s Award,” said Co-Chairs, Heidi Deiner, Citizens Bank and Marcia Nelson, Alberleen Family Office Solutions.

Criteria used by the judges included the importance of the transaction, product, service or dealmaker to the industry, as well as the creativity, resourcefulness and perseverance it took to complete the deal.
