Join ACG Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh Venture Capital Association on March 23rd for The State of Venture Capital and Private Equity Panel. We will hear industry experts discuss what matters, what to watch, and what's to come.

Cancellations received via email at least 3 business days from the event will be granted a refund, less a 20% administrative fee. Cancellations received after the cut-off date (3 days prior to) are not eligible for a refund. However, registrations can be transferred without penalty to another representative from the same company for the same event, with advanced notification to organizers. If the replacement representative is not a member of the association, the firm will be responsible to pay the difference between the member vs. non-member rate (this will vary depending on the event). Picture/Video Policy: Registration implies consent that any pictures or video taken during the event can be used for promotional purposes. ACG Pittsburgh is able to use your likeness without remuneration.

Jeremy focuses his practice on securities-related transactions and corporate governance, specifically in connection with private capital financings and public offerings, and the organization, funding, and ongoing representation of emerging growth technology companies and venture firms.

Jeremy handles the public offerings of securities, representing both issuers and underwriters, and is experienced in the underwritten offerings of equity securities, as well as 144A private placements of high-yield debt securities. In addition, he works closely with public company issuers on securities law compliance, general corporate guidance, and governance and equity-based compensation issues.

Jeremy's clients include retailers, software and information technology companies, venture capital and private equity funds, drug discovery companies, insurance companies, medical device makers, oil and gas companies, robotics companies, mobile and wearable computer manufacturers, bioinformatics companies, e-commerce providers and facilitators, information services providers, medical device manufacturers, investment banking firms, and telecommunication companies. In addition to his private
company and securities focus, Jeremy's practice extends to venture and angel financings, private and public company mergers and acquisitions, complex corporate transactions, and all forms of commercial arrangement negotiations.

Andrew joined PNC Riverarch Capital in July 2014. Prior to joining PNC, Andrew worked for L.E.K. Consulting in the Private Equity group in New York. Andrew graduated from Columbia University, magna cum laude, with dual majors in applied mathematics, economics and political science. He received an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar and graduated in the top 5% of his class. He was previously a director of Fire & Life Safety America, North American Breaker Company, Tranzonic and T.S.S. LLC. He is currently a director of Medical Technology Associates and Shearer Supply.

Stephen J. Gurgovits, Jr. is the Managing Partner and co-founder of Tecum Capital, a $500+ million private investment firm based in Pittsburgh, PA, which oversees pools of committed capital focused on mezzanine debt, subordinated notes, and private equity, along with a separate strategy via a multi-family office platform for control equity investments.  Currently, Tecum Capital is investing out of its third committed fund, Tecum Capital Partners, III, LP, a $305 million fund licensed as a Small Business Investment Company by the SBA.  In his current role, Mr. Gurgovits, Jr. is responsible for providing strategic, operational and investment management leadership to the funds, including its overall planning, fund raising, growth and execution of strategy.   Mr. Gurgovits, Jr. previously served on the board of directors of Auburn Gear, Uncle Charley’s Sausage, Oberg Industries, Gibraltar Cable Barriers, Western Allegheny Capital and is currently on the board of directors for Primetac, ASW, and the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Association of Corporate Growth (ACG).

During his career, Mr. Gurgovits, Jr. has been directly involved in over $1 billion of aggregate financial transactions, both public and private.  Mr. Gurgovits, Jr. has also served as the investment and portfolio manager for over $200 million of publicly-traded securities. 

Prior to founding Tecum Capital, Mr. Gurgovits, Jr. was President and C.E.O. of F.N.B. Capital Corporation, LLC, a wholly-owned merchant banking subsidiary of F.N.B. Corporation (NYSE: FNB) from its inception in 2005.  Mr. Gurgovits, Jr. started his career with KPMG and was also the controller for The Sports and Exhibition Authority prior to joining F.N.B.  He graduated with High Distinction from Pennsylvania State University after earning a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and subsequently obtained his MBA from the Katz School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh.  Mr. Gurgovits, Jr. holds a CFA Charter designation and is a licensed CPA in the state of Pennsylvania.  A native of western Pennsylvania, he currently resides in Pittsburgh, PA.

Victor Martinelli, Managing Director, joined Incline in September 2015 and is based in the firm’s New York office. He is responsible for evaluating, analyzing and monitoring investments made by the firm.

Previously, Victor worked as an Associate in Incline’s Pittsburgh office. He began his career in the Investment Banking Division at Barclays.

Victor graduated from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University with a B.S. in Business Administration – Concentration in Finance.

Victor enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and daughters, often while golfing, boating or fishing with family and friends. He also loves sports and is a passionate supporter of his hometown teams in the Steel City.

Mike serves on the boards of New Media, Ayalogic, Unitask, TOA Technologies and Landslide. Mike also directed the Funds investments in ClubCom (acquired by Amer Sports), Active Media (acquired by Precor) and Renal Solutions (acquired by Fresenius). Mike is a Director and past President of the Pittsburgh Venture Capital Association and a Director of the Ohio Venture Association.

Mike has over 25 years of experience with start-up technology companies both as a co-founder and early stage investor. Prior to Draper Triangle, Mike spent the majority of his career serving as CFO of several successful technology companies, where he not only directed the financial and business operations, but also acquisitions, mergers and capital raising functions.

Mike was a co-founder and Vice President, Finance of IndustryNet, an early stage electronic commerce company, where he led the company in raising over $15 million in growth capital from strategic partners and nationally-known venture capital organizations prior to its merger with a division of AT&T.

Previously, Mike served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of International Cybernetics Corp., one of the nation's fastest-growing robotic controls companies, where he directed the financial operations and led the merger of the company into Gould Electronics in 1985. Prior to joining International Cybernetics Corporation, Mike was employed by Touche Ross & Company (presently Deloitte & Touche).

Mike graduated cum laude from the University of Notre Dame with a BBA. Mike is an avid runner and has completed sixteen marathons.
