Join ACG Pittsburgh for a Women's Luncheon event as we hear from Anne Herman. Anne is the Vice President of MissionOPS for MSA Safety. She is responsible for Safety and Sustainability, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Continuous Improvement in more than 20 major manufacturing plants and distribution centers around the world.

*Note: This is a women's ONLY event. 

Member/Sponsor: $65 I Non-Member: $120

 

Cancellations received via email at least 3 business days from the event will be granted a refund, less a 20% administrative fee. Cancellations received after the cut-off date (3 days prior to) are not eligible for a refund. However, registrations can be transferred without penalty to another representative from the same company for the same event, with advanced notification to organizers. If the replacement representative is not a member of the association, the firm will be responsible to pay the difference between the member vs. non-member rate (this will vary depending on the event).

Picture/Video Policy: Registration implies consent that any pictures or video taken during the event can be used for promotional purposes. ACG Pittsburgh is able to use your likeness without remuneration.

Anne is Vice President of MissionOPS for MSA Safety. She is responsible for Safety and Sustainability, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Continuous Improvement in more than 20 major manufacturing plants and distribution centers around the world.

Anne joined MSA more than 35 years ago as an assistant chemist. She since has held a variety of roles of increasing responsibility within the organization’s research & development (R&D), quality, standards compliance and operations groups.

In 2013, Anne was recognized by The Manufacturing Institute, Deloitte, the University of Phoenix, and the Society of Manufacturing Engineers with the Women in Manufacturing STEP (Science, Technology, Engineering and Production) Award. In March 2017, she was recognized by the Pittsburgh Business Times as one of the 25 most influential businesswomen in western Pennsylvania with a Businesswomen First Award. In April 2018, Anne was awarded the Distinguished Alumna Award by Duquesne University. More recently, she was a 2019 honoree of the United Way of Butler Women’s Leadership Council. In August 2020, she was recognized by Strong Women, Strong Girls Pittsburgh as one of its regional award winners for MSA’s commitment to diversity and inclusion.

A native of Pittsburgh, Anne earned her bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Bucknell University and an MBA from Duquesne University. In addition to her academic accomplishments, she completed the Women’s Executive Leadership Program from Duquesne University and is the executive sponsor of WMSA, MSA’s professional organization dedicated to the personal and professional development of women in the workplace. She is also a member of the Graduate and Executive Programs Advisory Council (GEPAC) for the Palumbo Donahue School of Business at Duquesne University, and the Corporate Advisory Board of the Center for Supply Chain Management (CSCM) at the University of Pittsburgh. Anne is also a member of the Board of Directors of the YWCA of Greater Pittsburgh, where she currently serves as President and chair of the Executive Committee.

Anne resides in Cranberry Township with her husband and is the proud mother of two adult sons.
