The ACG Cup

The Premier MBA Competition

The ACG Cup is a case study competition designed to give students from leading MBA programs across the country real world experience and invaluable insights into mergers and acquisitions, investment banking, financial advisory and private equity. Each case study provides students with a unique opportunity to present valuation, capital markets and M&A strategic advice to a panel of seasoned M&A professionals from within the ACG community. The competition is carried out through a series of intra-school and regional competitions, with regional winners awarded the prestigious ACG Cup title and cash awards.

2017 ACG Cup

On Wednesday, March 15th, five groups competed in the ACG Cup competition. The ACG Cup is a MBA-student case study competition, in which participating universities organize student teams which analyze and present the results of a case study focusing on mergers and acquisitions to a group of judges consisting of members of ACG Pittsburgh. The schools represented were: Carnegie Mellon University, Duquesne University, Indiana University of Pennsylvania, University of Pittsburgh & West Virginia University.

The winner of the Cup and $4,000 cash prize went to Josh Restauri of Indiana University of Pennsylvania. The other 4 teams each received a runner-up $2,000 cash price.
