Project Scientist

EHS Support

Today, we are proud to recognize Brianna Sadoski as a top deal-making consultant. Brianna works on numerous deals each year for both private equity and corporate clients and always maintains a strong sense of urgency and project dedication. She is an environmental Scientist and consultant with over seven years of experience and has been with EHS support for over five years. She has assisted clients in assessing environmental risks over a wide variety of industries including oil & gas, manufacturing, steel, healthcare, and a variety of other industrial and commercial operations. She has worked on many different sized deals with multi-site portfolios of properties, and has international experience.

In her role at EHS, Brianna assists clients, including many private equity firms here in the Pittsburgh area, with identifying and assessing environmental risk as part of their transactions during due diligence. Brianna is particularly adept at researching client properties and facilities to assess the potential for historical environmental impacts. What our acquisitive clients appreciate most is her ability to put her technical environmental assessments into the context of the specific transaction at hand. Brianna’s knowledge of the deal process, combined with her high level of technical expertise and thoroughness, allows our clients to rest assured that they are covered from an environmental perspective. They know they can rely on her reports to help guide them as part of their due diligence process, and that the data will be presented in terms that directly relate to the deal.

One recent example of Brianna’s work includes her role during an acquisition by a leading private equity firm in the Pittsburgh region. The target company, a distributor of automotive, industrial, and architectural coatings, had nearly 20 properties throughout the United States that required environmental evaluation. From meticulous historical records review, to detailed property visits and interviews with management, Brianna was instrumental in evaluating the environmental risk to get the deal done. Her sense of urgency, coupled with her thoroughness, aided the client in making sure they were completely protected from an environmental perspective.

Accommodating an extremely tight timeline, Brianna worked many hours evaluating key details at each property. Such activities included detailed historical and current records reviews, site utility and adjoining property assessments, management interviews, and physical setting evaluations that included topographic information, geologic conditions, and hydrogeology conditions. She also assessed each site for historical Spills and Releases, Underground and Aboveground Storage Tanks Waste Disposal Practices, and hazardous waste products, among many other items.

Furthermore, by clearly and concisely identifying and assessing the environmental liabilities using industry regulations and standards as their guide, Brianna and her team were able to help the client negotiate the most ideal purchase structure to protect them from any future environmental risk.

This one particular example that highlights Brianna’s exemplary dedication to client service is not the exception – it is the norm for her. Join me in giving Brianna a round of applause for her hard work.
