Although Canada has a reasonably solid ecosystem to enable entrepreneurship, the most recent Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (“GEM”)Global Report corroborates that entrepreneurs face major headwinds when it comes to raising the capital needed to scale, monetize, and grow.
On Tuesday, April 27that 11am EST, Jos Schmitt, President and CEO of the NEO Exchange, will present a Masters Class on some of those challenges with a focus on the options available to raise much-needed growth capital:
- Venture capital;
- B2C online private placement platforms; or
- B2B private placement platforms.
Go public and leverage:
- A venture stock exchange or a senior stock exchange;- An IPO, a Direct Listing, or an RTO on a shell company, a CPC or a SPAC.
Jos will also discuss a brand-new go-public vehicle designed by NEO in consultation with the securities regulators, that has been custom-built for earlier stage growth.
The objective of this session is to understand the options that are available for raising growth capital and, more importantly, their respective pros and cons.
