Raymond James and Houlihan Lokey join the ACG UK Steering Committee

ACG UK, the premier professional networking organisation for middle market M&A dealmaking professionals, is pleased to announce the appointment of two new Steering Committee members.

Joining the committee are Laura Maddison, Managing Director in Raymond James’s London office and Leon Gillespie, Director, Houlihan Lokey, also based in London.

 Laura Maddison joined Raymond James in 2017, to launch the London office and is a Managing Director of the firm’s Technology & Services Investment Banking group.  Ms Maddison has over 14 years’ experience of advising clients across the breadth of the Media & Technology sectors. Prior to joining Raymond James, she was a director in Deloitte’s UK TMT M&A Advisory team, joining in 2014, from Ingenious Corporate Finance, a specialist media & technology focused corporate finance boutique. Ms Maddison is a qualified chartered accountant, holds a first class Bachelor of Arts honours degree from the University of Nottingham and a postgraduate diploma in financial strategy, under a full academic scholarship, from the Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford.

Leon Gillespie is a Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Financial Sponsors Group. He is based in the firm’s London office.
Before joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr Gillespie was Head of Financial Sponsor Coverage at Cannacord Genuity in London. Previously, he led the coverage and origination efforts of private equity firms at KPMG in London and Asia. He was also in charge of advising clients developing Asian growth initiatives as part of the KPMG global private equity network.
Mr Gillespie holds a B.A. in Medieval and Modern History from the University of Birmingham.
