Kurt Krieg joined Extell Development Company in July 2017 where he focuses on project management, vertical and horizontal improvements, acquisitions, governance and community formation and master plan oversight in Utah, principally the more than 6,000-acres Mayflower conglomerate including Blue Ledge, Pioche, JSSD and Mayflower land.
Krieg has a unique understanding of Utah, Colorado and California development regulations and governance, luxury resort development, fractional development and the ski industry.
Prior to joining Extell, Krieg joined the East West Partners' Tahoe development team in 2005 and transitioned with the team to Mountainside Partners in 2015. There, he worked on Mountainside's Northstar Village, Hyatt Northstar, Village Walk Townhomes, Rendezvous Cabins, Ritz Carlton Lake Tahoe, Village Swim Fitness Center and Tree House Clubhouse.
Previous responsibilities included project management, construction oversight and fiscal responsibility for more than $360M in assets; working directly with equity partners, a global brand partner, lenders, governmental agencies, general contractors, architects and engineers, sales and finance teams, homeowner associations, appraisers, legal counsel, owners and management companies to insure project stability and growth.
Before working in Lake Tahoe, Vice President of Sales and Operations for the Vail Valley Foundation. During his ten-year tenure with the Foundation, Krieg oversaw the renovation of the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater; he also was contracted to work in Venue Development for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City.
